I’d love to make you some t-shirt quilts! Yes 24 shirts (squares) is a good ‘standard’ size of 4’ x 6’ for the quilt but I can certainly make that same size using fewer t-shirts (utilizing front and back sides of the t-shirt) or more than 24 shirts (combining shirts which have smaller graphics/logos).

Basically I tell people give me all the shirts you want included in the quilt and I will make it happen. 😊 If need be the quilt can always be wider or longer to incorporate in more shirts/squares (ex: 5x6, 4x7, etc). And the t-shirts can be cotton or dri-fit and sweatshirts even work too. Then once I get the shirts cut and laid out I text you the layout and we decide on what color fleece you’d like for the back. Most people go with light gray or dark gray but some like to go with a school color or favorite color.

So to prepare them I would say either fold them so that the side you want to use is facing out or put a post on each t-shirt to indicate ‘front only’ or ‘back only’ or ‘both sides’. Then box them up and mail them to me. Shipping goes by weight but also box size so feel free to pack them in snuggly into the box. You pay the shipping to get them to me and I cover the return shipping cost sending you your completed quilts. Cost is $175 per standard blanket size and I’d be happy to give you a discount for multiple blankets.

What a lot of my customers do is pay a deposit of $159 on a 52" x 52" single-sided quilt and then send all the shirts that they want on the quilt, I'll send back any I don't use. Then during the design process, I can tell you how big of a quilt they will make. At that point, you can decide how big you want it. We will talk about the size, price, what shirts to leave out if you don't want it that big. I can also make it bigger by adding borders. I don't do anything without your approval.

Here is my process:

1) Once the deposit is paid, my physical address will be supplied for the shirts to be mailed to me.
2) I will let you know when the shirts arrive.
3) I will photograph them, put them into design software, and determine how big of a quilt they will make.
4) Once the size and price are approved, I ask that the deposit be brought up to 50% of the purchase price.
5) I'll produce a design to deliver to you for approval.
6) Once approved, I’ll create the quilt.
7) Once completed I’ll provide photos of the completed quilt.
8) Create a final listing for the remaining balance.
9) Once the balance is paid, I'll ship the quilt.

When your quilt is finished, I’ll create a custom listing for the remaining balance and tax (if applicable). Once paid, I'll ship out the quilt.

The price includes all fabric needed to finish the top, the stabilizer needed to prevent knit fabrics from stretching, the batting, and the backing fabric. You choose the color you would like for the back and binding.

My quilts are machine-pieced and professionally machine quilted in my non-smoking home studio in McKinney Texas. The quilting really adds to the uniqueness! It will be professionally quilted with an invisible thread using a meandering pattern on my longarm quilting machine. The binding method used is a double folded machine stitched to the front and to the back for added durability. The batting is Warm N Natural 80% cotton/20% polyester.

To care for your quilt, machine wash on the delicate cycle, and tumble dry on low heat.
After purchasing the custom listing, I will contact you and give you the address you need to send the t-shirts/items.

It takes about 6-8 weeks to complete the quilt. *It may take longer during the holiday rush, and in Spring due to graduations. Let me know when you need the quilt and I'll let you know I can make that delivery timeframe.

All clothing MUST be freshly laundered and NOT have any fabric softener in them. This is very important.
