CARMEL QUILTS ~ T-shirt Quilt ~ Memory Blanket Quilt with ruffles and fleece

I’d love to make you a t-shirt quilt too! What I need from you is an initial deposit and mail me your 12-24 shirts).

Basically I tell people give me all the shirts you want included in the quilt and I will make it happen. 😊 If need be the quilt can always be wider or longer to incorporate in more shirts/squares (ex: 5x6, 4x7, etc). And the t-shirts can be cotton or dri-fit and sweatshirts even work too. Then once I get the shirts cut and laid out I text you the layout and we decide on what color fleece you’d like for the back. Most people go with light gray or dark gray but some like to go with a school color or favorite color.

To prepare the shirt for the mail do one of two things: either fold them so that the side you want to use is facing out, or put a post-it on each t-shirt to indicate ‘front only’ or ‘back only’ or ‘both sides’. Then box them up and mail them to me.

Shipping goes by weight but also box size so feel free to pack them in snuggly into the box. You pay the shipping to get them to me and I cover the return shipping cost sending you your completed quilts.

I’d be happy to give you a discount for multiple blankets.

What a lot of my customers do is pay the deposit of $100 per blanket and then send all the shirts that they want on the quilt. I'll send back any I don't use. Then during the design process, I can tell you how big of a quilt they will make. At that point, you can decide how big you want it. We will talk about the size, price, what shirts to leave out if you don't want it that big. I don't do anything without your approval.

Here is my process:

1) Once the deposit is paid, my physical address will be supplied for the shirts to be mailed to me.
2) I will let you know when the shirts arrive.
3) I will photograph them, put them into a layout, and send you a photo of the draft layout.
4) Once the layout is approved, I will create the quilt.
5) Once completed I’ll provide photos of the completed quilt.
6) Create a final listing for the remaining balance.
7) Once the balance is paid, I'll ship the quilt.

When your quilt is finished, I’ll create a custom listing for the remaining balance and tax (if applicable). Once paid, I'll ship out the quilt.

The price includes all fabric needed to finish the top, the stabilizer needed to prevent knit fabrics from stretching, the batting, and the backing fabric. A standard light grey fleece is used for the backside.

My quilts are machine-pieced and professionally made by me in my non-smoking home studio in Carmel, Indiana.

To care for your quilt, machine wash and tumble dry on low heat.

After purchasing the custom listing, I will contact you and give you the address you need to send the t-shirts/items.

It takes about 2-3 weeks to complete the quilt. *It may take longer during the holiday rush, and in Spring due to graduations. Let me know when you need the quilt and I'll let you know I can make that delivery timeframe.
